John Connery

Born in Hillsborough, Co Down he has exhibited at home & abroad. A love for his native countryside has resulted in a traditional style of painting, capturing aspects of the Irish Landscape on canvas before they disappear forever.

Connery is also an accomplished musician & has also published two collections of short stories. John has delivered talks on the life & work of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.

Paintings by John are held in private collections throughout Ireland, England, USA & South Africa. Gerry Murray of the derry journal comments "(John) has done for posterity what John Millington Synge did through the genre of literature a century ago & the Chieftains do through music today".
