Imelda Kilbane

Imelda Kilbane has lived on Achill Island, Co. Mayo, since early childhood. She is inspired by the scenery of her home and her work is the result of an innate knowledge and the study of her native landscape from topography to climate. Her atmospheric work is largely monochromatic, executed on Fabriano paper using goache and acrylic paint, indian ink, pigments and found natural objects. She received a BA in Fine Art from GMIT, Castlebar, Co. Mayo in 2012.
