Trina Hobson translates her surroundings, collected images and memories into often abstracted, expressive paintings.
Her loose and direct use of oil paint is worked in layers onto the surface adding texture and depth, evocative of time and memory.
Hobson's first solo exhibition was in Februrary 2015 following successful exhibitions in collaborative shows including The Mall Gallery, London, The Waterfront Hall, Belfast, McKenna Gallery, Omagh, Boyle Arts Festival, The Higher Bridges Gallery, Enniskillen, 2016 Royal Ulster Academy Annual Exhibition ( Invited Artist )
